History
of Rubin Chiropractic
 Rubin Chiropractic has been serving the
Kalamazoo community for over 30 years. Dr. Arlen S. Rubin
and his wife Kim “discovered” Kalamazoo
in October 1972.
Here is the short story…
Dr. Rubin graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic
in Davenport IA in December 1971. He moved back to his
birthplace of Huntington, Long Island, New York where
he interned under the tutelage of the famous chiropractor
Dr. James Barile. During that time, he began traveling
the country taking state and National Board examinations.
On one of those trips, late at night and too tired to
drive on, they made the fateful decision to stop overnight.
Lo and Behold, they found the best city in America! The
next morning was sunny. The people were friendly. A realtor
showed him the perfect location to live and practice.
A banker arranged financing. A contractor offered to
remodel. Licensed within 2 weeks, moved in within 4 weeks
and the first patients were the realtor, the banker,
the contractor and their families!
We believe our success over the years is due to our
ability to develop a partnership based on friendship
and trust. Our ability to provide a quality personal
service. Our constant efforts to demonstrate and teach
improved health. And the creation of a healing environment
where everyone has the opportunity to express wholeness;
mind, body, and spirit at their very best.
